Local Files

MarkFoundry supports opening and saving files from your device using browser file APIs.

Opening files

  1. Click Open File from the welcome screen or toolbar.
  2. Select a supported file type (.md, .json, .yaml, .txt, etc.).
  3. Edit in the workspace.

Saving files

  1. Use Save to write back to the opened file.
  2. Use Save As to download a new copy.

Browser support

File access depends on your browser. Chrome, Edge, and other Chromium browsers provide the best support for local file workflows.
